Evidently under the direction of Jehovah God and his Son Jesus Christ. According to the facts available, the governing body became associated with the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania. C. T. Russell was patently of that governing body back there inthe last quarter of the nineteenth century. -- The Watchtower, December 15, 1971, page 760.The above thought was presented in the exjehovahswitnessforum forum, and the question was asked "What evidence?" At any rate, the answer to question is that there is no evidence that Russell was ever "patentaly of that" alleged "governing body." Russell did not believe in such a governing body, and even preached against such a authority in the church. Rather than any evidence to support that Russell was "of that governing body", the works of Russell testify that he was not "of that governing body," and that the Jehovah's Witnesses' governing body did not exist until after Russell died.
